Welcome to our family!

About 2 months ago, Keith had to put down his 4 year old dog. It was right in the middle of his finals and was all very sad. The saddest part of it was that his dog was so young. Meanwhile, Koda (our other dog) was very lonely. As we only have outdoor dogs, this was very sad. Every time there is a storm he sits outside and cries like a baby now that he doesn't have a playmate. Yesterday Keith caved in and adopted a playmate for Koda. Juneau is our new dog. He is about 5 years old (did not want another chewing puppy) and is a black lab mutt mix of some sort. He was a stray/lost dog. He had to have been someone's pet because he is very mellow and very good with the girls. (Oh! Please don't look at our back yard. At some future date it will be beautiful! The front yard looks nice.) Poor Juneau is having a little spell of homesickness or something. He has been sick today. Keith says it is the change in environment and new food. I sure hope so. I connot stand the thought of another sick dog. Juneau is the dog on top and Koda is to the right. The look a lot alike. Juneau has longer hair and no white markings. If you knew Spike, Juneau looks a lot like Spike! So there is the addition to our family.

It's so hard to lose a dog; they're part of the family. Even the ones I've thought I didn't like, over the MANY years of my kids accumulating them, were missed when they were gone. Well, maybe Bogey.........:-)
